Time Out says

Join the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) on April 15 (5pm-6pm) at the HKDI Design Boulevard for the Czech Design Fest 25 Opening Ceremony, a vibrant showcase celebrating the richness of Czech design, art, traditions, history, and music. This festival is a year-long project presented by HKDI in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong.

Experience digital art pioneer Mr. Pavel Mrkus’ site-specific video artwork and stunning Signal Festival video reels on the LED display wall; discover the stories behind extraordinary buildings constructed between 1958 and 1989 through ‘Czechoslovak Architecture 58-89’, an audiovisual presentation by accomplished artist Mr. Vladimir Broz and festival production expert Mr Stefan Motika; and enjoy a live performance by Ms. Yanki Ma on the Cimbál, a traditional Czech string instrument, adding a melodic touch to the festivities.

Best of all, this event is free and open to all – no registration needed! So mark your calendar and bring your friends along for an inspiring evening filled with Czech culture.
