China Tee Club is a private members club with a wink. You can book a table for afternoon tea for a fee of $10 per person. Scones, muffins, and tea sandwiches are on offer. Though the name suggests they are a tea club, they do great Hainan chicken rice with Chinese soup. However you need to be a member (they occasionally allow non-members to dine there if tables are available, but call in advance). The breezy colonial dining room is a nice hideaway if you are looking to escape the Central crowds. Meal for two: around $200.
