The Hong Kong-Asean Foundation (HKAF) is launching its first Asean Film Festival in the city from August 4 to 19. This non-profit film festival is a collaborative project between HKAF, the Consulate General Offices of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Hong Kong, and other supporting partners. Co-presented by M+ and Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, the festival will screen a curated selection of films created by some of the most prominent filmmakers from Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore.
From tear-jerking dramas to spine-chilling horrors, there’s a wide range of films for audiences to catch at M+ Cinema, the Miller Theatre at Asia Society Hong Kong Centre, and the sky cinema at Olympian City. Visit Asean Film Festival’s website for more information about the screened films, and purchase your tickets on M+ Cinema and the sky’s websites.
