Presenting the sign language and deal culture through films, the 10th Hong Kong International Deaf Film Festival – to be hosted online – returns to tell stories of those within the deaf community. The festival aims to shine a light on the stigma towards deaf people and that the deaf are not disabled, but a community with their own language, culture, and history. The 2nd International Conference on Deaf Cinema will coincide with the film festival, where local and overseas deaf film festival organisers, film workers, deaf groups, and activists will be invited to discuss and share their stories together.
