Here to make Cantonese opera relevant and accessible to modern audiences, notable Hong Kong Cantonese opera star Loong Koon-tin leads a hilarious, almost caricature-like stage performance about the life of Donald Trump. Think awful wig and all. This is not the first time Loong has taken on iconic personalities. He previously played Mao Zedong – also in a Cantonese opera – and has hinted to bringing back his iteration of the Chairman as a way to satirise the relationship between the US and China. But don’t worry, the show won’t get political and there are English subtitles.
