Hong Kong Repertory Theatre recreates the legendary life of Hu Xueyan, a powerful merchant who used his own wealth to save his country. Dealing with issues surrounding power and the struggle for it, playwright Paul Poon and Hong Kong Drama Award-winning director Roy Szeto skillfully draw on history to mirror today's society in this new production.
