Angel's Bone

Shanghai-born composer Du Yun and librettist Royce Vavrek put human traffickers in focus in Angel’s Bone, an opera that focuses on a desperate middle-aged couple tempted into trafficking angels whom they have saved. The performance, for which Du won a Pulitzer Prize, combines gritty stage design, haunting vocals and harsh electronic sounds, making this an absolute must-see.
