Most neighborhoods in Hong Kong have their indispensable, treasured local wet market – Tung Chung is no different, but Fu Tung Plaza may just do it better. The wet market here was newly renovated and reopened in 2018 – offering tasty, hygienic and just plain awesome food stalls – serving everything from cha chaan teng classics, to succulent Taiwanese beef noodles, Korean bento boxes with a kick and even Asian-style Mexican tacos. Why not do a round of grocery shopping here too? You’ll find produce from local organic farms, such as genuine free-run eggs, hydroponic veggies and a great selection of fresh-cut flowers.
