The same team behind restaurants like Hansik Goo, Whey, Miss Lee and more, is the brains behind modern trattoria Testina. The restaurant is in collaboration with Trippa Milano from Italy and is the first of three new openings that hit the recently renovated 8 Lyndhurst Terrace building. Testina, which means ‘head’ in Italian, serves refined versions of classic Italian recipes with a nose-to-tail approach to their dishes. Former 8½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana Shanghai chef Marco Xodo is at the helm and dishes out things like crispy fried tripe ($200), or trippa fritta in Italian, roasted onion ($160) with Sicilian capers and dried tomato, whipped cod fish topped with red pepper and spread on slices of toasted polenta ($190), and much more. Inside the restaurant, expect a retro design with mustard-yellow walls, olive green furniture and Palladiana flooring that nods to the Milanese trattorias of the 1970s.
