Sai Ying Pun welcomes Tandoori Bites, a new Indian restaurant in the neighbourhood. The restaurant is owned by Harry Bisht, proprietor of the Indian grocery store, Saffron, which is located just next to the new eatery. His store has been known for providing free meals to the needy since opening, so you'll be supporting his cause every time you dine at the new resto. The menu provides a lot of options for meat eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians. Highlights include tandoori chicken momo ($108), tandoor oven lamb biryani ($128) served in fragrant basmati rice slow-cooked in a clay pot, and other Indian dishes like Uttrakhandi Pahadi Tikka ($88) and chicken tikka naanza ($178) – the restaurant's Indian take on pizza using naan with chicken tikka and mozzarella cheese.
