Tai Wing Wah (Yuen Long)

Tai Wing Wah is one of the city’s most renowned traditional restaurants but nothing can compare to the original in Yuen Long. The native celebrity chef, Hugo ‘To To’ Leung’s larger-than-life presence is one of the main attractions here, but the dishes also come with the extra oomph of fresh ingredients. The restaurant is famous for its pork lard rice but we prefer other dishes like the soy and five spice chicken which boasts a tangy marinade bringing out the savoury flavours of the chicken. Don’t forget to try the countless dim sum dishes they have on offer too and steamed sponge cake which along with the low prices, has earned it Bib Gourmand status in the Michelin guide.
