Yonjugo (which means 45 in Japanese) is derived from the Japanese salute of bowing to a 45-degree angle. Located in the hustle and bustle of Soho, Yonjungo is hidden behind a wooden door, revealing an eight-seat omakase restaurant. Their chefs pay careful attention to the selection of Japanese delicacies and seasonal ingredients coming from various parts of Japan, such as Kagoshima, Kyushu, Toyosu, Hokkaido, Okinawa, and other fresh fish markets. Whether it's fish or shellfish, pickles or mustard, only the best ingredients are used at Yonjungo. Dishes are best paired with sake from their curated list, but it's also worth trying the restaurant's collection of umeshu from their library, which is available only once a year in March.
