Located on Jervois Street in Sheung Wan, Suit Coffee & Sake has transformed into a modern izakaya called Suit Izakaya & Sake Bar. It is a great choice for casual dining, whether it's for lunch or dinner. The eatery offers beautifully presented dishes that can be enjoyed alongside their selection of sake. The menu features a variety of options, starting from finger foods (otsumami) such as crispy tofu skins ($48) and shitake mushrooms on shrimp chips ($48) to vegetable side dishes like charred baby carrots ($88) and aubergine in charcoal with pistachio nuts and yoghurt dip ($118).
For dinner, we recommend starting with seafood dishes like the cuttlefish blanket ($138), served on a bed of seaweed salad with tonnato-kiwi dressing. Another excellent choice is the fish mosaic, which consists of slices of half-cooked hamachi wrapped in seaweed and served with wasabi yoghurt and dashi jelly ($168). When it comes to mains, you can indulge in seasonal fish served with sansho peppercorns, grilled shishito peppers, and burnt calamansi sauce ($228). Don't miss out on their signature dish, the yellow chicken rice ($268) marinated in koji and served on a bed of crispy mushroom rice.
The izakaya also offers chu-hi cocktails, highballs, and G&T. Those abstaining from alcohol can try their Berry's Fizz, an interesting mix of blueberry, yuzu, and onion with tonic.
