As its name suggests, the new Schnitzel & Schnaps offers a selection of crispy moreish schnitzels made with coats of bread crumbs using dried German kaiser rolls and mixed herb blends. Meat lovers and pescatarians can enjoy various schnitzels, including swordfish Milanese ($210) using sustainable swordfish from Sri Lanka, Schnitzel à la Holstein (HK$280), a pork fat pan-fried pork chop topped with a sunny-side-up egg, capers butter, anchovy, and Wiener Schnitzel ($350), a thinly pounded milk-fed veal in housemade breadcrumbs and pan-fried in clarified butter. Headed by Polish restaurateur and chef Krzysztof Bandel, Schnitzel & Schnaps’s spacious location on Hollywood Road makes the space great for lunch, dinner, and after-work gatherings. After indulging in crunchy fried pounded meat, guests can sip their way through the bar’s range of semi-dry and sweet schnapps, beers, wines, and cocktails.
