Taking over 208 Duecento Otto is JIA Group’s new concept Ramato. The neighbourhood Italian restaurant is the brainchild of chef Antimo Maria Merone of Estro and mixologist Mario Calderone of Duddell’s. Named after the Puglian round tomato, expect Romato to serve hearty, traditional family-style Italian fare. Stands out dishes include their pasta offerings like spaghetti Ramato tomato sauce (the restaurant’s rendition of the spaghetti pomodori in Ramato’s signature red sauce), homemade pappardelle ragu, as well as 1.5kg baked sea bass and XL king tiger prawns for mains.
