The space is cool at Zanzo, with a giant square bar counter as the centrepiece. Reminiscent of the cosy yakitori houses in town, it stands out with an open bar inviting pedestrians to stop by for a sip. Rows and rows of sake bottles, including Zanzo’s own private label, fill up the shelves. It’s clean and simple, quietly and confidently shining in the understated decor. Currently on the menu is a fine selection of food and drinks. There are plates of Japanese delicacies to nibble, including snapper sashimi ($75), barbecue Australian wagyu beef chimichurri salad ($70) and perfectly-grilled skewers on tap.
