Time Out says

If you're departing from Central, there's a free boat ride that will ship hungry passengers to Lamma Island to feast at this outdoor, live seafood restaurant. The family-run Lamma Rainbow Seafood Restaurant's roots on Lamma Island began in 1984. Steamed catch of the day and black bean clams are the usual suspects, but if they're in season, order up the 'pee-on' shrimps and ask for them to be fried with salt and pepper. The restaurant is a fun escape for an evening of island dining.

What’s on

Grand Lamma Feast with Young Master Brewery

On December 7, local craft beer company Young Master Brewery is hosting an exclusive dinner in collaboration with family-run seafood specialist Lamma Rainbow Seafood Restaurant. Diners can catch a designated ferry from Central Pier at 5pm that’ll take them directly to the al fresco seafood restaurant. Once there, guests can load up on sensational seafood dishes like deep-fried salt and pepper squid, fried lobster with ginger and onion, steamed scallops with garlic sauce, and stir-fried clams in black bean and chilli sauce. But no local seafood dining experience would be complete without beer, that’s why Young Master will be offering free-flow craft beers and HigherThan highball cocktails for guests to chug throughout the evening.  Attendees can snag tickets to the Grand Lamma Feast for $598 until December 1, before tickets go for $650 each. All tickets include a return ferry ride back to Central after dinner. Find more details about this exclusive dining event and get your tickets on Young Master’s website.
