If you're looking for a multi-sensory experience, the newly opened Chinese restaurant Jǐng will indulge your senses. Located in wellwellwell inside Pacific Place, Jǐng is enclosed in a 360-degree private area where guests can dine at a traditional Chinese round table amid video walls featuring visuals and sounds that change the scenery every time a new dish arrives. Catering to only ten guests per night, the intimate space presents an eight-course meal ($999 per person) inspired by China's ancient tales. The culinary adventure tells the story of Yang Guifei – one of the legendary four Chinese women renowned for their beauty – and the Emperor of China, his passion for music and his love for the muse. Other dishes cover inspirations from Tang dynasty poetry, the legendary silk road, Chinese poet Li Bai, and more. For an additional $498, guests can elevate their meal with a six sake pairing, which includes award-winning Mutsu-Hassen Black Label Junmaiginjo sake.
For sake connoisseurs, Jǐng houses 200 bottles of Tanaka 1789 x Chartier Blend 001 Tokubetsu Junmai ($998) – one of the world's most sought-after sakes, which has a limited 600-bottle distribution in Hong Kong.
