The latest restaurant from Black Sheep Restaurants is a classic, 60s Tokyo-inspired teppanyaki haven and ode to opulence, containing three teppan grills – two at the sides of the restaurant that seat five each, and a central teppan, which 20 diners can sit around and enjoy the sight of the chefs grilling away. The restaurant is helmed by Niigata native Toru Takano, and serves up an array of top-quality meat and seafood. Although many ordering options are available, the Deluxe set ($1188) is recommended as the way to experience the grills at their best, consisting of Toyosu Market sashimi, Tokushima tomato, spicy lobster, and A5 Kagoshima wagyu beef. After having your fill at the grill, you can move into the dessert and whisky lounge, where you can enjoy an after-dinner tipple complemented by sugary treats like croquembouche ($168) and coconut tart shell ($168).
