This beloved Chinese dessert establishment has been serving up traditional Asian-style sweet soup and fruity desserts for almost 20 years. Though well-known for classics like sweet tofu pudding, sesame soup and mango pomelo sago soup, their shaved ice desserts shouldn’t be overlooked. While kakigori tends to be more finely shaved, Chung Kee’s shaved ice is presented in creamy long flakes that have an undeniably smooth melt-in-your-mouth quality. Its specialty flavour is mango, but eager eaters can opt for two flavours at once. Forget your personal space, though — the desserts are comforting and satisfying, the seating space is not.
