As soon as you step into Bistro Hoi An’s vibrant dining venue, you’ll be immersed in an environment similar to a quaint countryside village in Vietnam. Currently, the restaurant produces three types of fish sauces in-house – an umami-packed original flavour, a calamansi infused sauce, and a caramelised sauce made with black sugar and coconut sugar – which get incorporated in their dishes to add an extra oomph. Aside from Vietnamese entrees that most are familiar with, Bistro Hoi An also dishes up authentic dishes like sauteed frog legs, chargrilled pork belly, and beef tartare with fried dough sticks. Wrap up your meal with desserts infused with Vietnamese flavours, such as caramelised popcorn banana or coconut sherbet.
