Starting July 9, 2020, Tea House Theatre at West Kowloon Cultural District's Xiqu Centre will be greeting performing arts lovers by launching a new programme called Stories of Life, in which reputed artist Law Ka-ying will direct performances of excerpts from the famous Chinese tragedy Butterfly Lovers, and the action-packed White Dragon Pass. Unlike traditional Cantonese opera which can be rather lengthy, the performances in this programme will express the essence of the play and in a short, entertaining experience. Hoi Man Yau

Tickets for the July showings of this exciting audio-visual experience will be sold for a 15% discount (from $270), and the discounts don’t stop there, because all of our city’s medical workers will be able to enjoy a whopping 50% discount on standard tickets at the theatre from now until 30 June, 2021.
The Tea House Theatre is currently taking precautionary measures in light of the current situations, which means that tea and dim sum service during the shows is temporarily suspended. Theatregoers will, however, receive a complimentary drink from Taiwanese tea shop ‘Daily Tea Time by Don’t Yell at Me’ to enjoy after the show.
