May is shaping up to be a great month for foodies! Following the much-anticipated opening of cult-favourite burger joint Shake Shack on May 1, Hongkongers can now look forward to another huge opening: the renowned Singaporean Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice.
Originally scheduled to open back in February, the popular Michelin-recommended eatery will finally have its soft opening on May 7 at Causeway Bay’s Fashion Walk, with a brand new name Tian Tian Plus to boot. After an excruciating wait, Hongkongers can finally get their hands – and mouths – on Tian Tian’s signature soft, well-seasoned chicken rice.
Tian Tian will also feature menu items from other Michelin-recommended Singaporean restaurants, including Wu Shi Nian Dai, Lao Jie Fang and A Noodle Story. Get ready for a taste of Lao Jie Fang’s excellent beef tendon noodles and A Noodle Story’s famous noodles, which are a hybrid between Japanese ramen and Cantonese wonton noodles.
Aside from the four Singaporean restaurants, Tian Tian is also cooking up exclusive Cantonese dishes with a spin, such as Japanese-style roasted pork belly and durian soya tofu pudding.
It’s going to be tough to maintain the summer bod.
