Hong Kong has plenty of amazing dining experiences, but have you ever seen a six-centimetre-tall animated French chef scurrying across your table, gathering ingredients and cooking up a storm right in front of your eyes? Le Petit Chef, the globally famous 3D dining experience, has made its debut at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, bringing its'The Beginning' culinary journey to the city for the very first time. 

What is Le Petit Chef?

So, who is this tiny cook? Le Petit Chef is a 6 cm-tall animated character who is small in size but has a big talent for cooking. Legend has it, he was born in April 2015 in Marseille, France, and he’s been wowing diners around the world ever since. Created by the creative minds at artistic collective Skullmapping, Le Petit Chef combines art, storytelling, and cutting-edge 3D projection mapping technology to bring his culinary adventures to life.  Accompanied by themed music, props, and a beautifully crafted menu by a top-notch culinary team, this isn’t just dinner – it’s a full-on sensory adventure.

Where is Le Petit Chef in Hong Kong?

You can find Le Petit Chef at the Le Petit Chef's Dining Room, located on the upper level of the Grand Hyatt Steakhouse at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, 1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.

How can I book a table at Le Petit Chef?

The dining experience is available from Tuesday to Sunday, with multiple sessions each day:

Tuesday to Friday
First session: 6pm-8pm
Second session: 8.30pm-10.30pm

Saturday 
First session: 12.30pm-2.30pm
Second session: 6pm-8pm
Third session: 8.30pm-10.30pm

Sunday 
First session: 12.30pm-2.30pm
Second session: 3.30pm-5.30pm
Third session: 7.30pm-9.30pm

What’s on the menu at Le Petit Chef Hong Kong?

Each dinner show runs for around two hours and there are several menus to choose from, including the Le Grand Chef Menu ($1,700 per person), Le Petit Chef Menu ($1,350 per person), Le Petit Chef Vegetarian Menu (HK$1,350 per person), and the Junior Chef Menu ($675 per child aged six to 12). Highlights include the bouillabaisse (a French fish soup), the steak au poivre with Australian wagyu sirloin as the star of the show, a pumpkin risotto (vegetarian option), and a classic vanilla creme brulee.
