The Hong Kong Photo Contest 2024, presented by Wheelock Properties and organised by National Geographic Magazine, is an annual competition that celebrates the best of photography while highlighting the city’s unique charm.
This year's competition saw an astounding 8,788 entries across six categories: Landscape, Wildlife, City, People, Sports, and Mobile Photography, with a special Travelers Award encouraging tourists to share their Hong Kong experiences.
A new addition this year, the Sports category proved particularly exciting, with the winning shot freezing a dramatic mid-fall moment during a roller skating competition. Meanwhile, the Mobile Photography entries impressed judges with their creativity and technical skill, proving that great shots don’t always require the most professional gear.
