Scheduled to open its doors this Winter 2020, The Hari Hong Kong is the newest addition to the Harilela Group, the parent company of Harilela Hotels which currently owns 15 properties across Hong Kong, China, Asia, Europe, and the US.
Though a challenging time for hospitality, Dr Aron Harilela says that the decision to open the hotel after a year of protests and the pandemic represents a vote of confidence in Hong Kong's future as a city. Designed by Tara Bernerd – the founder and CEO of Tara Bernerd & Partners, a leading international interior architecture and design firm, the same company who designed The Hari London – The Hari Hong Kong will feature a state-of-the-art facility with 210 guest rooms including three signature rooftop suites. Situated at 330 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, the property is bigger than The Hari London, but it will highlight the same styling aesthetics with a material palette inspired by Harilela's layered approach to tailoring.
The hotel will showcase a variety of social spaces including a lobby lounge, Zoku, a Japanese restaurant and terrace bar, and Lucciola, an Italian restaurant.
The Hari Hong Kong has yet to reveal a bundle of its impressive qualities. For now, the hotel is preparing before they are officially open to the public. "We will take this quiet period to get everything perfect in the hotel – whether it's training our people into The Hari's signature style of hospitality or taking time to test all the equipment," says Dr Harilela.
