Taobao needs no further introduction. It's fast, affordable, and has pretty much everything under the sun; from clothes and gadgets to that random thing you didn't know you needed until you saw it. Hongkongers are obsessed, and now, Taobao Hong Kong is taking things up a notch by opening its first-ever offline furniture store in Tsim Sha Tsui, teaming up with local home improvement platform Papabo to bring you a furniture and lifestyle superstore where shoppers will get the best of both worlds – the convenience of online shopping and the joy of actually touching what you want to buy.

So... what is this store?

Officially named 'PapaHome Partnered with Taobao', the store is a massive 25,000sq ft space packed with over 10,000 furniture and home decor items from more than 100 top Taobao sellers. This Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) model means you'll get to actually see various furniture and lifestyle items in real life before deciding whether to buy them or not.

Where is the store located?

You'll find this furniture and lifestyle superstore on the second floor of China Hong Kong City shopping mall along the bustling Canton Road.

When is the store going to open?

PapaHome will officially open its doors to welcome customers on February 22, 2025. Opening hours are still to be confirmed.

What will be available at the store?

You’ll find everything from sofas and dining tables to bedroom sets and custom pieces for those awkward corners in your home. They've also got home decor and renovation materials, so you can finally get on with that DIY project you've been putting off for so long. And, if you’re into tech, AI and AR tools will be available to help you visualise how that new coffee table or bookshelf will look in your pad.

Products at the store are carefully selected from reputable merchants, including big-name companies like GoldenHome Living and Guangzhou Holike Creative Home, as well as innovative brands like modern European furniture store Shuzhi Design, independent designer brand Rino Art, and Taobao's original furniture brand Half House.

How does it work? Can I buy stuff at the store?

Spot something you like? Simply scan the QR code on the product tag to pull up all the details you need, including dimensions, materials, customer reviews, and perhaps even a few exclusive discounts. Once you're ready, you can then complete the purchase process directly on the Taobao app. Delivery is handled just like any other Taobao order so you won't have to lug it home yourself. The store's staff will also be on hand to help should you need any advice or recommendations.

How do I get to the store?

If you’re taking the MTR, hop off at Tsim Sha Tsui Station and walk about 10 minutes to China Hong Kong City. Bus routes like 1, 1A, 2, and 6 will drop you off nearby, and if you’re driving, there’s parking on-site.
