Alas, yet another event is cancelled over the ongoing protests happening in our city. The latest victim of this ongoing series of cancelled events is the largest hip-hop festival in the world, Rolling Loud, which was originally set to happen in Hong Kong this weekend.
The organisers of Rolling Loud Hong Kong issued a statement on the festival's Instagram this morning announcing the cancellation of the event. After talking to security experts, the organisers determined it's not possible for Rolling Loud Hong Kong to happen without "endangering the safety and well-being of our fans, artists, and staff."
Other upcoming events that have been cancelled are Marco Polo Hotel's Oktoberfest, the annual cross-harbour swim race, Wine & Dine Festival and the Hong Kong China International Tattoo Convention.
