Kennedy Town has just welcomed a new zero-waste store into its midst with the opening of Slowood, a sustainable lifestyle grocery store. Though it's been in soft-opening since the New Year, Slowood is celebrating its official grand opening this Saturday, January 19.

With floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive 3,000 sq ft of space, Slowood carries more than 100 brands from overseas and Hong Kong to provide a wide range of environmentally-friendly kitchenware, as well as offering grocery staples in bulk. There’s a refill station where you can bring in your own clean bottles to stock up on things like rice, salt and spices at cheaper prices. A small vegetarian eatery can be also found instore where the menu and furniture are heavily influenced by mushrooms – the food, the chairs, the lamps and more.

Pop along to the store this Saturday between 11am and 9pm for some free drinks and canapé made with fresh natural ingredients.
