Gather 'round, foodies – there's a new doughnut shop in town! Bringing you handcrafted doughnuts with a contemporary twist, Ello combines food and art through a range of creative doughnuts (both sweet and savoury), beverages, exclusive merch, and more.
Banana caramel ice cream donut ($58)
Sweet highlights of the pop-up include a lush salted egg yolk custard-filled doughnut, topped with crispy bacon ($48), HK-style milk tea flavoured ice cream doughnut with crunchy toasted bits and condensed milk ($58), as well as the PBJ semifreddo, semi-frozen peanut butter and jelly combo dipped in melted chocolate ($68).
As for the savouries, diners can dig into Ello's signature bread-crumbed hotdog bun doughnut filled with everything from Korean BBQ pork belly and kimchi ($72) to a tongue-numbing Sichuan mala beef and egg ($72). There's also a vegetarian Thai pork option ($68) for those looking for a meatless meal.
Ello is also collaborating with local brewery Carbon Brews HK to create Yuja pop!, a special craft beer made with Korean sea salt and Yuja sour ale. The beer has intense yuzu aromas and a light salty finish. They will also serve non-alcoholic drinks such as housemade kombucha, soda, tea, and a small selection of coffee.
Last but not least, check out the merch vending machine where customers can take their pick from a colourful range of t-shirts, bags, and stationery. For something extra special, be sure to check out the shop's DIY in-store activation with local fashion brand D-mop to create your very own tee and tote bag.
