Renowned celebrity chef Alvin Leung aka ‘The Demon Chef’ has become a pioneer for his unique style of ‘X-treme Chinese cuisine’ that has led to him opening several restaurants around the world, including the innovative Cantonese restaurant Bo Innovation and farm-to-table concept Cafe Bau in Hong Kong.

However, Leung is set to close The Demon Celebrity – a joint venture between himself and legendary chef Cheng Kam-fu – by the end of November. This Chinese restaurant opened in 2022 and showcased both chefs’ mastery of Cantonese fare by fusing tradition and modernity in dishes like stuffed chicken wings with bird’s nest, umami sweet potato noodles with sea cucumbers, and stuffed pork intestine with cuttlefish and black truffle.

Unfortunately, The Demon Celebrity has not mentioned that they would be reopening in a new location anytime soon, but we look forward to the possibility of them reappearing in Hong Kong in the future. Be sure to swing by the restaurant to try their creative Cantonese fare before it’s gone.
