Let’s face it; there is no stopping the bubble tea craze in Hong Kong. Starting this September McDonald’s is also adding seasonal offer bubble tea in their menu. The bubble tea series will include new Okinawa brown sugar bubble milk tea and the relaunched Okinawa brown sugar bubble Four Season tea.
The Okinawa brown sugar bubble milk tea is made with 100 percent pure Ceylon tea leaves served with a thick foam to add to the rich layers of the milk tea flavour. The large size is priced from $22 to $24, and is available in both iced or hot.
To satisfy your sweet cravings, McDonald’s is also introducing a new earl grey tea cake and running an afternoon tea set combo ($35) promotion that comes with a large size Okinawa brown sugar bubble milk tea and a sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter thick-cut toastie – available after 11am.
Both the cake and the boba teas will be available in all outlets starting from today until supplies last. Those staying in at home need not worry about missing out because these offerings are also available for delivery. Elaine Soh
