It’s been an amazing year for pop music in Hong Kong thanks to the likes of Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Dua Lipa. While we’re still have The Killers and Guns N’ Roses to look forward to, the good news keeps on coming with news that British pop star and songwriter Jessie J is making her debut here on September 22.
The Price Tag singer has been making headlines in China recently following her win on Mainland TV show Singer – though why she took part in the first place is anyone’s guess – becoming the first international artist to compete and win that competition. Riding that wave of success, Jessie J is embarking on a world tour to promote her eagerly awaited fourth album, R.O.S.E. (which apparently stands for realisations, obsessions, sex and empowerment). Hongkongers can experience her powerhouse voice in person at AsiaWorld-Expo this September.
Tickets go on sale next Friday, June 8, at 10am from eraslive.com with prices starting from $698. But as Jessie says, it ain’t about the money, money, money...
