TruffleBakery has officially opened its first overseas store in the heart of Causeway Bay! Founded in 2017, TruffleBakery has been winning hearts (and stomachs) with its signature white truffle salt bread that sells about 20,000 pieces every day. Read on to find out more about all this truffley goodness and where you can get it in town.

Located on the ground floor of The Hedon, just behind Times Square, the two-storey flagship store offers a delicious lineup of fresh-out-the-oven baked goods, with the white truffle salt bread being the most famous of all. Made with homemade truffle butter, Italian white truffle oil, and premium French truffle salt, this famous treat is crispy to the bite, yet soft and pillowy on the inside. Each piece will only knock you back $23 but do note that each customer can only buy up to three pieces during its soft opening period.

To celebrate its Hong Kong debut, TruffleBakery has whipped up two Hong Kong-exclusive flavours. The chocolate truffle salt bread ($27) is made with Japanese flour, 60 percent French dark chocolate, a smooth filling of 60 percent dark chocolate whipped cream, and just a hint of truffle sea salt on top to really bring out all the flavours. Another city-exclusive item is the osmanthus oolong and fig sourdough ($78, whole loaf). Fresh osmanthus flowers are soaked in oolong tea overnight and blended with a 10-year-old natural yeast from Japan, figs, and walnuts. The dough is then slowly fermented for 14 hours before it is baked to perfection.

Other must-tries include the black truffle egg sandwich ($39) and a light 'Donut' ($19) made with an original secret recipe – and remember to wash it all down with a cup of their hot or iced coffee too!
