Get the defibrillator ready because Shake Shack is finally ready to launch in Hong Kong. The former New York hot dog cart is opening its doors at IFC next Tuesday on May 1 – just in time for the Labour Day public holiday!
After months of anticipation and a one-day pop-up that provided a teaser of what the cult-favourite burger joint is offering, Hongkongers can finally get their hands on the chain’s famous Shack Stack burger (100 percent Angus beef patty topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and muenster-filled portobello mushroom), flat-top hot dogs and crinkle-cut fries.
On top of those famous drool-worthy goodies, the IFC branch is also serving up Hong Kong exclusive desserts including the Milk Tea Shake (vanilla custard blended with black tea), HK Style (vanilla custard, French toast, peanut butter sauce and banana, topped with maple sugar), The Heart & Tart of Central (vanilla custard, egg tart and strawberry puree), as well as That’s My Jam (vanilla custard, mango passion fruit jam, fresh raspberries and crumbled shortbread).
Oh yeah, and did we mention that the first 100 customers to get there when doors open at 11am get to take home a free pair of snazzy Shake Shack sunglasses? So, forget any holidays plans you’ve pencilled in for next Tuesday and get down to the IFC.
