Whether you’re jetting off on holiday or dragging yourself home after a well-deserved break, there’s often an underwhelming range of options when it comes to finding a decent place to eat at the airport.
Well, not according to the editors at Bloomberg, who have eaten their way around the globe (or at least its airports) to put together a list of the best airport restaurants so that you don’t have to choose between overpriced sandwiches and sad fast food burgers.

Sitting at the top of that list is Hong Kong’s very own Duddell’s. Taking traditional Cantonese fare up a notch, this Michelin-starred restaurant serves everything from delicate dim sum and juicy honey-glazed char siu to well-executed Canto dishes with contemporary twists.
Joining us on the list is Yakiniku Champion at Haneda Airport, Japan. This grilled meats restaurant is known for their top quality A5 Japanese beef. Following closely behind in third place is Hungry Club, a gastronomic concept by internationally renowned chef Dabiz Muñoz at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport.
Here are the world’s best airport restaurants, according to Bloomberg:
- Duddell’s, Hong Kong International, Hong Kong
- Yakiniku Champion, Tokyo Haneda, Japan
- Hungry Club, Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas, Spain
- Le Café Cyril Lignac at Louis Vuitton, London Heathrow, UK
- One Flew South, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, USA
- The Salt Lick BBQ, Austin-Bergstrom International, USA
- Bun Mee, San Francisco International, USA
- Iwashi Sushi, Benito Juárez International, Mexico
