The government will launch a face mask distribution scheme starting tomorrow, June 30, in which it aims to deliver a pack of ten face masks to every Hong Kong household. The initiative, which is expected to take three weeks, requires no registration for Hongkongers – postmen around the city will automatically insert the pack of masks into all adequately sized post boxes, or try a home delivery if the masks won't fit. If no one is home, a letter of notification will be left behind, informing the occupants to collect their masks at a designated post office within 28 days. For the small number of abodes that are not served by the Hongkong Post service, Social Welfare Department and District Offices will be sought to make alternative delivery arrangements.
If you have any questions about the mask delivery scheme, call 183 6136, or email enquiry@maskdistribution.hk from 9am, June 30.
