TIL, or Today is Long, is the latest addition to Sai Ying Pun's growing cafe community. As an independent Australian-style cafe, TIL was founded upon a love for Australia and a passion for good coffee. The cafe’s design pays homage to the famous Uluru rock, also known as the 'Red Centre' of northern Australia. As soon as you walk in, its burnt-orange and white interiors, high ceilings, and massive glass windows will immediately transport you to the core of Australia’s territory.
Bringing a slice of Australian coffee culture to Hong Kong, TIL has hand-selected 'Small Batch', one of Melbourne’s original specialty coffee roasters that support sustainable agriculture, and picked the brand's Candyman Espresso Blend, a sweet well-balanced espresso blend that tastes great with or without milk.
The cafe's coffee menu holds a variety of offerings ranging from pour-overs to cold brew to coffees with plant-based milk. We recommend trying the Magic ($40), a common Melbourne coffee made with a double ristretto, and the Long Mac Topped up ($40), a double-shot macchiato, which has a delicious nutty macadamia flavour.
TIL also serves a variety of fresh food, such as open sandwiches, salad bowls, homemade cakes, and their signature made-to-order 'Croffles' – the combination of croissants and waffles – which are served with different savoury or sweet toppings. TIL is still in their soft opening phase so opening hours and menu items are subject to change. Erika Yip
