The award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer has announced the dates for his concert tour of Australia and Asia, and Hong Kong is on the schedule. Starting with Brisbane towards the end of April, he will make his way to Sydney and Melbourne, before performing one night in Hong Kong on May 14. The tour will then take him to stages in South Korea, Japan, and Abu Dhabi.

The smash-hit tour, Hans Zimmer Live, promises to be a stunning audio and visual show, featuring a 19-piece live band and a full orchestra. Concert-goers can expect to be treated to a selection of Zimmer’s most iconic scores from cinematic hits such as Mission: Impossible, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, and King Arthur. The newly arranged concert suites will also include music from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, The Lion King, The Last Samurai, and Dune. From beloved Disney tunes to melodies from contemporary classic movies, there is much to appreciate for every film and music lover watching the performance live.

Zimmer has scored more than 500 projects across films, TV shows, documentaries, and more, and is the recipient of numerous award nominations. He received his first Academy Award in 1994 for Disney’s The Lion King score – later also scoring the 2019 live-action remake – and earned his second Oscar award for the 2021 blockbuster Dune. His Hans Zimmer Live shows have always been superbly received worldwide, selling out on European runs and in 17 cities across the US and Canada. After this Australia and Asia run, Zimmer will be embarking on a brand-new tour through Europe from autumn through next year, titled ‘Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level’.

And in case you’re wondering, yes, Zimmer himself will be performing live on stage in his shows! Ticket sales will open at 10am on February 25, so set your calendar alerts now.
