There are not many things that are more satisfying than knocking back a cold one on a hot summer's day, that’s why we couldn’t be more excited to hear that 7-Eleven is opening up a brand new concept shop in partnership with Carlsberg this summer!

Setting up shop in Discovery Bay, this refreshing concept shop is the first of its kind in Hong Kong. Visitors will get first dibs on trying out different Carlsberg brews (which will change on a regular basis) exclusive only to the shop.

To kick things off, three beers will be on offer: Elephant Strong, named after the original brewery site of the Carlsberg Breweries, Elephant Gate, is extra strong and rich in malty character, with a hint of caramel that perfectly balances with the beer’s dry bitterness. The Carlsberg Export is a premium-strength lager brewed to the brand’s original Danish recipe and has deep malty notes along with a distinct bitterness. Finally, the Unfiltered is – like its name suggests –  an unfiltered, full-bodied pilsner with a rich malty sweetness and a crisp, hoppy bit.

To celebrate the opening of the shop, visitors can receive a limited-edition Carlsberg beer glass set upon spending $60 or over from June 24 to July 21 (subject to availability). And, if you visit the shop from June 25 to 28 between 12 at noon to 4pm, be sure to take a slamming photo by the Carlsberg Insta-wall, upload it to Facebook or Instagram, and show it to a member of staff to receive a free 250ml mini Carlsberg beer glass (available while stocks last). We don’t know about you, but we’re definitely pencilling in those dates in our diaries.
