Restaurant aggregator La Liste has just announced its Top 1,000 Restaurants of 2025 – and Hong Kong secured 25 spots on the list! Launched in 2015 and founded by Ambassador Philippe Faure (the former CEO of Gault & Millau and Head of the French Tourism Board), La Liste utilises an algorithm to analyse restaurant reviews from international dining guides, crowd-sourced sites, and press reviews worldwide.
This year, fine Cantonese restaurant Lung King Heen at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, was one of nine global restaurants that earned a top score of 99.5. The other high-ranking venues included Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl – Hôtel Les Trois Rois from Switzerland, Guy Savoy from Paris, L’Enclume – Simon Rogan from the United Kingdom, Le Bernardin from the United States, Matsukawa from Japan, Schwarzwaldstube from Germany, and SingleThread from the United States.
Other Hong Kong restaurants which secured spots on the global 1,000 list include Caprice, Amber, 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana, Ta Vie, L’ Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Tin Lung Heen, Forum, and Sushi Shikon among others.
