Keeping themselves on the fringe hasn't stopped Detroit post-punk four-piece Protomartyr from being one of the most critically acclaimed bands in the genre to emerge in recent memory. An explosive ball of anger while touching on the melancholic in no small part down to frontman, Joe Casey's euphoric vocals, Protomartyr must just be one of the most essential Hong Kong gigs of the year.
