If you can only make it to one classical performance from Le French May, make it this one. The Paris Mozart Orchestra is taking audiences on a journey through music, poetry and painting, starting with the Sinfonietta for String Orchestra Op. 52 by French composer Albert Roussel – s was a sailor-turned-composer – to a selection of melodies composed by Hector Berlioz . Also look forward to Eric Genovese, a member of the celebrated Comedie-Française, as he reads out excerpts from painter Nicolas de Stael’s correspondence set against his most celebrated paintings projected on stage.
