Sick of the same old summer blockbusters? Expand your cinematic palette and catch a variety of films ranging from award-winning films fresh off the festival circuit to hot new Asian releases and restored classics.

Presented by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society, this year’s festival will showcase the works of Mamoru Hosoda, one of the finest modern directors working in anime. Responsible for popular works like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars and The Boy and the Beast, the festival will open with a premiere of his new film, Mirai.

Lasting from August 18-28, tickets go on sale July 24.
