New Vision Art Festival's closing programme is the latest work by celebrated Bangladeshi dancer-choreographer Akram Khan, heralding an unsung heroine in the ancient Sanskrit epic The Mahabharata. The powerful and mystical production, which sees the unsung heroine Amba being thrown into the spotlight in the male-dominated narrative, stunned the dance world earlier this year at the London Roundhouse and is set to make an equally dramatic impression in this Asian première.
