The city’s annual literature extravaganza is back! For the next six days, head over to the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre in Wan Chai to pick up the latest bestsellers, catch up on your summer reading or simply purchase books in bulk – remember to bring a suitcase so you can roll it over everyone’s toes!
The theme of this year’s fair is ‘travel’ and the event features appearances from award-winning travel writers like Sara Wheeler, local explorer Rebecca Lee and former war correspondent Zhou Yijun. Aside from fiction and literature, there’s also an art exhibition showcasing award-winning photographs from the magazine National Geographic.
Tickets are only $10 if you arrive before noon and $25 thereafter. Unfortunately, tickets are not available online so be ready to queue. With up to 1 million visitors expected throughout the week, reading has never been more hectic.
