Drink This: Matcha Colada at Aqua and Armani/Aqua

Tired of the same old martinis and old fashioneds? Drink this instead...

Armani/Aqua and Aqua have just launched Made x Matcha, a series celebrating the green stuff that features three new dishes and two cocktails. Using the finest matcha sourced from Nishio, Japan, our favourite of the bunch has to be the the Matcha Colada by mixologist Simone Rossi.

The drink uses Tanqueray 10 gin as its base spirit, dark crème de cacao, Coco Lopez coconut cream and fresh pineapple. Served in a matcha dusted coupe, there’s enough of a hint of matcha to balance out the sweetness. If it still sounds a little too sweet, the Matcha Zen cocktail also uses Tanqueray 10 gin, sake, fresh lime, passion fruit, shiso leaf and homemade matcha syrup.
