2020 Winner - Lorenzo Antinori (Caprice Bar)

Beverage Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong

With just two years of residency in the city, Lorenzo Antinori is a relative newcomer in the Hong Kong bar scene, yet, here he is, swiftly making his mark in the local bar community. Armed with numerous experiences under his belt, he escalated Caprice Bar in line with the best bars in Hong Kong as well as in the region, and even ushered Caprice's debut in Asia's 50 Best Bars list for 2020

Runner-up - John Nugent (The Diplomat)

Co-founder and Head Mixologist 

Known for putting innovative twists on old classics, Seattle mixologist John Nugent entered the Hong Kong bar scene in 2017 as the head mixologist for Lily & Bloom. This year, Nugent opened his first independent venture, The Diplomat, and even with the continuous challenges of the year, his bar has become the watering hole for people hankering for after-work drinks in Soho's hip and happening H Code.

Shortlisted - Jay Khan (Coa) 

Co-founder and Beverage Director

The man behind the popular Mexican-inspired bar Coa and Time Out Hong Kong's Bartender of the year in 2019. His passion for agave spirit and his craft has made a significant impact in the local bar industry and drinking scene in Asia, earning him and Coa various accolades in the region since the bar opened.

Shortlisted - Agung Prabowo (The Old Man Hong Kong/Penicillin)

Co-founder and Head Mixologist

A bona fide icon behind the bar, Agung Prabowo is one of Asia's most respected bartenders. With the year's challenges, he continued to inspire the industry and even helped put up Save Hong Kong F&B, Hong Kong's foodie alliance aimed at supporting ailing bars and restaurants during the pandemic. This year sees his exit from The Old Man Hong Kong to open two new additions to Hong Kong's growing cocktail scene.

Shortlisted - Beckaly Franks (The Pontiac)

Co-owner and Head Bartender

Dubbed the First Lady of Hong Kong mixology, Beckaly Franks is a well-known fixture in the city's bar scene, leading the team behind the pioneering craft cocktail dive bar, The Pontiac – a mainstay on Asia's 50 Best Bars list since its inception. She is one of the leading voices in the drinks industry and continues to inspire a new generation of female bartenders.
