Organised by Hong Kong-based curator Shirky Chan as part of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association’s (HKAGA) summer programme to foster young artistic talents, Ze/Ro is a group art show featuring the work of five local contemporary female artists: Au Hoi Lam, Chan Ka Kiu, Christy Chow, Jaffa Lam and Jess Lau. All of the artists live and work in Hong Kong and each addresses notions of identity, gender, society and self, framed by social constructs and desired dissolutions of gender.
For a more immersive art experience, visitors can also take part in the Himalayan Singing Bowls workshop on August 21 (4pm to 5.30pm) to create a deep connection with the artworks in the exhibition. The harmonic frequencies of the singing bowls can balance one's masculine and feminine energy – thus, bringing the themes of the exhibition to life. Click here for more details!
