Local contemporary artist Chan Tsz-kwan is presenting her first solo exhibition in a blend of art and technology. Inspired by the hundreds of bird species that make pit stops in Hong Kong’s wetlands each year, Chan has created over 30 artworks, including 10 new pieces that are specifically bird-themed. The diptych ‘Distance’ shows the migratory path of these birds, while the three-metre piece ‘Wings of Hope’ is a bird’s eye view of Nam Sang Wai’s disappearing wetlands. This exhibition is also accompanied by the launch of Where the Birds, an AR colouring app based on ink art, which allows visitors to add their own colours to the bird illustrations via smartphone or Vision Pro.
